Welcome to Christmas on Pearl Street
Thanksgiving has come and gone and the Christmas season is ramping up! All of blog land has been filled with Christmas decor and shopping guides for a few weeks now, but I just can’t bring myself to decorate until after Thanksgiving. Call me crazy, but I can’t eat turkey while I am looking at a Christmas tree. Anyone else feel that way?
The day after Thanksgiving that all changed! The hubby pulled down all the Christmas decorations and I got busy…very busy!
I am joining today with a group of very talented home decor bloggers to bring you the Christmas Home Tour 2017. Be sure to visit all the talented ladies at the links at the bottom of this post for more Christmas inspiration.
Come on in and let me show you around our home…
This is our forgotten living room that I made over for the One Room Challenge this fall. I only added a few hints of Christmas to this room because we are rarely ever in here. This is my bright and colorful eclectic room so I wanted to keep it fun.
A few ceramic Christmas themed containers with faux succulents, an old pickle jar filled with left over ornaments, my vintage light up glass tree, and the skinny tree that my son hates. I tried to get away with only using it one year and have never heard the end of it!
As we move into the dining room the mood changes a bit to a more traditional look. The mantle took on a life of it’s own as I was putting up the garland (sometimes those things happen) and I am really pleased with how it turned out.
The table is a bit more simple with vintage dishes all set for Christmas breakfast. Our children bring their children over bright and early on Christmas Eve morning and I whip up a ginormous (it is getting bigger every year) of bacon and french toast.
We eat EVERY…LAST…BITE… of breakfast then head into the family room to open presents.
My DIY Christmas tree this year gave birth to a whole new color scheme for our tree and I am loving all the cheery color of the green and pink paired with silver.
My vintage tool box (I style this for every season) is filled with greenery and Christmas balls left over from the tree, pink is such a festive color!
A few other items here and there for some Christmas joy and I call it done. Less is more, especially when you have to put it all away in a month.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the tour. Don’t forget to visit the rest of these talented bloggers in their lovely homes at the links below!
Don’t forget to pin for later!
Merry Christmas from our family to yours,
